Joss Stone is the newest Bond girl. Not in a movie, but in the upcoming "James Bond 007: Blood Stone" videogame from Activision. Stone's likeness and voice acting will appear alongside that Daniel Craig as James Bond and Judi Dench an M, who are reprising their movie roles for the game. Stone is also providing an exclusive original song "I'll Take it All," which she wrote and performed with Dave Stewart of Eurythmics fame. Videogames may be the only way artists can contribute their talents-both acting and singing-to the Bond franchise. Earlier this month, production of the next Bond film was cancelled over a "cash crisis." Director Sam Mendes was on deck to direct, but production company Eon says the film is on hold "indefinitely" and is unlikely to make its 2012 release date. |
