“A Belle for Christmas” is the story of a recent widower, named Glenn (Dean Cain), and his two kids. Their lives are changed forever when a puppy named Belle enters their lives around the holidays. However, Glenn’s new gold-digging attention-seeking girlfriend despises dogs and will do what she can to get rid of Belle and the kids. Will she succeed or will the kids outsmart her to save Belle and themselves? You’ll have to watch “A Belle for Christmas” to find out.
This movie was very predictable and tries too hard to be funny and emotional at the same time. Most of the characters in general weren’t likeable or even relatable. However, I did find Belle to be an adorable puppy, but would have liked to have seen her have more screen time. For a movie that is supposed to have been centered on Belle, you hardly see her throughout the movie. The music was okay, but was still not enough to save this movie. There are better holiday movies or movies with dogs out there that are more worth your time. For those reasons, I am giving “A Belle for Christmas” a “D.”
