Be Kind Rewind

On Blu-Ray:

Running Time:
102 minutes

So, what to expect?  From the director of the crazy and hard to interpret Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, which I still haven’t formed an opinion on, starring the oft-over the top and annoying Jack Black and the very likeable Mos Def with support from the pretty much forgotten Danny Glover.

Not very good.  The picture is jumpy at times and faded at others.  The sound is blistered and the background often overtakes what is happening in the actual scene.

FFeaturettes, the complete Fats Waller biopic and a few other things.

A disappointing movie as it starts off relatively entertaining and the plot has promise.  They do not show enough of their “sweded” (aka remade) movies to add to the comedy and the movie can never fully decide if it’s a slapstick comedy or a heartwarming social commentary.  It’s a shame too but Director Michel Gondry was actually able to reign in Jack Black a little bit.
