I thought that my jaw couldn’t drop any further once I was able to finally watch LOST on HDTV for season 3.  But, I was wrong.  In ABC’s first TV series to be released on Blu-Ray, they do amazing justice to one of the most enthralling shows on television.  The hard-stock covering encasing the plastic Blu-Ray packaging features a cool metallic sheen and a very sturdy feel that makes the set stand out above all the others on your shelf without getting too ridiculous in packaging design (see Star Trek: The Original Series awkward plastic case),

QUALITY:
The picture is so amazingly clear that you would think you were taking a tour of Hawaii itself.  The clarity of the picture stays true even during fast scene changes, shaky cameras and close-ups and there is no sign of graininess throughout the show.  The sound is clear and you are able to pick up every bit of audio, an important feature for a show that hides whispers randomly.

BONUS FEATURES:
Tons.  Unaired flashbacks, featurettes, behind-the-scenes, deleted scenes, bloopers, commentaries, blue-prints of the island and a fun look into the books that inspired and clue in to the mysteries of the island.  The special features are mainly for the hardcore fan but there are a few (like the flashbacks) that will be entertaining for the passing fan.  The promised "revealing" of secrets really don't reveal much more than logic has already told you but it is still nice to have it all in one place.
