Rockin’ legends Pay Tribute To Jack White is an album that features a lot of names people probably won’t find all that familiar, aside from a few. Such familiar names as Gary U.S. Bonds, Shooter Jennings, and Rejected Youth Nation are dropped into the mix with Wanda Jackson, Robert Gordon, Cranston Clements and more. Each artists bringing something different to the table in regards to their cover of a Jack White tune.

For the most part I really enjoyed this album. Most of the artists manage to put a fresh spin on their covers, really making the tune their own. Not only do they manage to put a fresh spin on the delivery vocally, they also do a great job of bringing to the mix a wild music style that keeps the song familiar while putting an outlaw country or rockabilly style twinge on each track.

Some stand out tunes include The Cold, Cold Night, Solute Your Solution, and Another Way To Die. The only tunes I didn’t really care for on the album were Seven Nation Army by Knox, Walker Lure & W.S. “Fluke” Holland and We’re Going To Be Friends by Bobby Vee. Vee brings a fantastic sound musically, but his interpretation of the song on vocals seems lacking.

All in all though the album has more high points then low points. I love the guitar work on the album and the spin on a majority of the songs. The CD art is pretty cool too. Well worth picking up. Enjoy.
