Artist: Pushking Album: The World As We Love It Members: Multiple Genre: Rock Label: ARMOURY (Fontana) Tracks: 19 Release Date: February 1, 2011 Discs: 1 Rating: ( )Grade: D- ‘Pushking The World As We Love It’ is the new CD that is dubbed “A Rock and Roll Journey” on the cover. On this CD there are 19 tracks, the first being the intro, that feature such artists as Alice Cooper, Steve Vai, Dan McCafferty, John Lawton, Keri Kelli, Paul Stanley, and many others. The songs are rock and rolls version of the world being good, fun, and life being beautiful. Though the songs might be about a happy, wonderful, planet Earth, they are pretty annoying for me to listen to. Out of all the artists that are listed on this CD the are only a few that I actually know about and out of those I still didn’t hear anything that would make them well known or liked. What these songs reminded me of was those late night infomercials that would play during the 90’s that was for the best of so and so songs but all they really had was the songs that no one liked to hear. This is what this CD consist of, the songs that never made it anywhere because they are just horrible. To make things worse, the songs sound like they came from the 80’s hair band collection. I can see the lighters lit up and waving in the air right now as these boring, off pitched, no beat carrying songs are being played. At no time did I get pumped up from hearing these songs, nor did I get that feeling of pride or love for the world or people, or anything else for that matter. These songs are lacking any energy or enthusiasm that would make them enjoyable to listen to, which is also what makes them sound like the songs that should be forgotten and not put on a CD to be hear. It was torture to listen to these songs, some more so than others because of how horrible they sound. Some of whiney, some are off pitch, and all are just boring. Not a good thing that there's 19 tracks on this because by the time track 19 was finished I was happy to take the CD out, put it back in the case, and now after this it will be forgotten about to hopefully not be heard from again. |
