Unstoppable was an adrenaline-pumped train ride that featured one of the most memorable runaway trains in film. Alright, so there aren't that many runaway trains to begin with but you get the idea.

The soundtrack is an orchestral composition done by composer Harry Gregson-Williams, whose previous work includes X-Men Origins: Wolverine, The Town, and many other popular films. For this film, the soundtrack is important because it's what creates half of the intensity on screen, the other half being the visuals themselves.

Like the film, the soundtrack will get your adrenaline flowing. The majority of the tracks feature rapid orchestral segments that will instantly remind you of Unstoppable. Only after listening to the soundtrack alone did I realize how prevalent it was in the film. That being said, a lot of it sounds alike. Only when things slow down for specific songs do you tell a difference. For the most part, it's all one long piece.

The soundtrack for Unstoppable is decent and complements the film perfectly but as a standalone album, it doesn't quite hit the spot. If you're a fan of the film then getting the soundtrack might not be so far-fetched. With so many great film soundtracks out there (i.e. Tron and Inception), Unstoppable comes in way down on the list.
