Title: $5 A Day Genre: Drama Starring: Alessandro Nivola, Sharon Stone, Amanda Peet, Peter Coyote, Christopher Walkin, Dean Cane Director: Nigel Cole Studio: Image Entertainment Runtime: 98 minutes Release Date: August 24, 2010 Format: BLU-RAY Discs: 1 MPAA Rating: Rating: ( )Grade: D Factoid: The project dates back to 2003 when Nick Cassavetes had signed on to direct, but a year later was replaced by John Curran. Three years later Nigel Cole is sitting in the director's chair. ~ IMDB Yet another paternal road trip, this time between a Father and Son (think Open Road). Christopher Walkin plays Nat, a con artist who lives life on freebies and his son Flynn (Alessandro Nivola) whose personal and professional life suffers from mistakes from his Father’s past. When Nat comes to Flynn telling him he is dying the two set out on a road trip that will bond them and possibly repair their relationship. QUALITY: BONUS FEATURES: All in all the film is only mediocre worth maybe seeing on DVD or television. I don’t foresee any improvement coming to this release anytime in the near future. |
