Title: Observe and Report Genre: Comedy Starring: Seth Rogen, Anna Faris, Ray Liotta Director: Jody Hill Studio: Legendary Pictures Runtime: 86 minutes In Theatres: April 10, 2009 MPAA Rating: Rating: ( )Grade: A Most of us have seen Paul Blart: Mall Cop in which Kevin James is a mall security guard who takes his job way too seriously. Observe and Report takes everything Paul Blart is and throws it out the window with a big FU. Seth Rogan stars as Ronnie, the head of mall security at Forest Ridge Mall. When the local police are brought in because a flasher has been seen on the premises, Ronnie steps it up into high gear and vows to protect his territory, especially the lovely Brandi (Anna Faris) from cosmetics, and catch the flasher to prove himself as the police officer he can be. We all know Seth Rogan and his crazy antics. Observe and Report is no exception. This is probably his most crude and shameful role yet, but it is still hilarious as ever. Rogan's character is either a genius or the dumbest guy around. Ronnie is oblivious to everything and he makes it known. Faris is the girl you love to hate. Her stuck up attitude and sorority style behavior make you wonder why Ronnie would want to go out with her. Together, the duo pull off a film that will have you laughing at the edge of your seats. Observe and Report is definitely not for the kiddies. If you counted every time the F-word is said, it would probably be in the hundreds. That being said, there is nothing really deep about the script. It is simply a bunch of guys having a good time and it works perfectly. Some of the scenes are ridiculous, such as Ronnie taking out a group of cops with a flashlight, but they always garner a laugh or two. The ending is priceless as it will both shock and amaze you. Let's just say that if you thought Forgetting Sarah Marshall was bad, you haven't seen anything yet. If Seth Rogan and Kevin James went head to head in a battle of the top cop, Rogan would win hands down. If you're the kind of person who laughs at the likes of Superbad and all those types of movies, then this one is definitely for you. |

B+ Movie
This movie was great-thanks for the sneak passes. Seth Rogen shined all on his own and without the Apatow gang. Anna Faris displayed her rare charms-I still think she can still be both really pretty and then really ugly.
The rest of the cast played their roles well. With the exception of a few tiny lulls in the action and comedy, this movie kept me on my toes...and I got some great belly laughs!

thinking about this movie again. It makes me very uncomfortable.
It was really funny and entertaining until the date rape scene and the shooting just absolutely disturbed me. I don't really understand this film at all. It's upsetting.
