Show: Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle Season/Volume: Volume 11: At The Brink Of Chaos Genre: Anime Starring: Mika Kikuchi, Miyu Irino, Yui Makino, Daisuke Namikawa, Tetsu Inada Studio: Funimation Release Date: February 3, 2009 Format: DVD Discs: 1 Rating: ( )Grade: B Bonus Features Character Guide, World Guide, Textless Songs, & Trailers Princess Sakura, Syaoran, and the others are lead back to a world they have already visited. This time though it is not peaceful as they remember. As they continue their quest they will all need to work hard to gain enough money to buy one of the feathers. Even though she was warned not to even Sakura attempts to pull her own weight. As they find more feathers, it seems to be taking its toll on the Princess. But a visit from Yuko makes you think there could be trouble on the way. This is my first time watching “Tsubasa” and I have to admit I was a little lost jumping into the middle of the story like this. But I went to work looking up and reading the basic story line of this anime and it is kind of an interesting tale. There is a little bit of action intertwined in the story; but not enough for those that love straight fighting animes. Sakura is upbeat, charming, very sweet and the other characters have their quirks. It seems the character development is slow as you wait on feathers to often fill in some of the memories. This really seems like a series for those that love tales of adventure or witnessing those on a journey, slowly learning things about the characters with interesting characters scattered throughout lands and some action thrown in to break things up. Certainly not one you can just jump into and if you are a fan this release sort of seems like the calm before the storm. The story moves forward slowly; but there are hints of bigger stuff to come.
