Quite possibly the most boring of the Coen Brothers films A Serious Man translates like a math problem (aptly). A look at the complexities of life and the idea that we have no control over the way things turn out. Problem is that the film is quirky as if it wants to be a comedy but fails but also comes on as a drama which is pushed into neutral territory due to the slight comedic aspect. Simply a badly executed film.

QUALITY:
Perfect. The picture is sharp and defined and the colors are explosive. Skies are incredibly blue and vegetation is incredibly green. Sound quality is perfect as well(dts-HD), though the film has very little use for large sound. In short if your looking for a fantastic look at all Blu-Ray can be this is a BD that will deliver everything but a decent film.

Try as they might to explain the reason they made this film it doesn’t change anything. Its still quite a boring film. I watched this feature to maybe gain some insight hoping to get a better grasp on what they were trying to do with the film. Nothing.
