Show: Bleak House Genre: Drama Starring: Carey Mulligan, Gillian Anderson, Tom Georgeson, Anna Maxwell Martin, Denis Lawson Studio: BBC Warner Runtime: 465 Minutes Release Date: May 5, 2009 Format: BLU-RAY Discs: 3 Rating: ( )Grade: A BBC mini-series have become a staple in England, and for good reason. Unlike most American shows, the BBC mini-series don't try to push their luck. There is a complete story planned (usually from famed source material like this Charles Dickens adaptation) and, hit or not, it ends there, allowing the integrity to not be breached for the sake of milking ratings. QUALITY: BONUS FEATURES: British television is a like it or hate it kind of thing. Personally, I've never been a big fan but Bleak Houses' gothic fable of a pair of orphans ensnared in a legal battle for a life-chaning fortune. Part legal drama, part murder story, Bleak House has always been one of Dickens' best writings, but has never been properly adapted to the screen, until now. You will be able to enjoy this riveting tale in full 1080p clarity and sound so clear you will feel as though you are front row at a live re-enacting. |

Undecided now decided.
Awesome. I'm usually a fan of anything thats got Ian McShane (Edit)* Ian McShane isn't in this one lol) in it but I've passed this one over many times wondering fi I should or shouldn't. The wife and I are loyal Mystery Theater viewers on PBS/BBC America but have, as of late, found the films they show all sharing the same depressing outcome. Regardless I'll take your word for it and check it out. Consider it queued.
