Angela Bassett returning for 'American Horror Story: Hotel'

American Horror Story veteran Angela Bassett will be returning to the franchise once again in AHS: Hotel, FX has announced. Bassett appeared as Desiree Dupree in AHS: Freak Show and Marie Laveau in AHS: Coven, the latter of which earn her a Primetime Emmy Award nomination in 2014. 

Bassett is joining other series alums Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Evan Peters, Wes Bentley, Chloë Sevigny and Matt Bomer for the fifth instalment alongside new cast members, Lady Gaga and Cheyenne Jackson.

Production on Hotel will begin in Los Angeles later this summer, with the 13-episode series scheduled to air on FX in October.
